@Beckhamtech My struggle is finding resources for all the experiments and labs I would like to do. When we can't find the resources, we end up right back at videos, worksheets, and reading passages🤔.
As schools transition to 1:1 technology, teachers need to find interactive, engaging ways to use the technology. PD on project-based learning could be the solution. Students use what they learn to solve real-world problems to improve their educational experience. #KSUITEC7410
@wood2_ae@Beckhamtech This is not tech related, but I am teaching scale factor in math. I am having students use their shadows and their height to determine the height of something really tall (light poles, trees, etc.). This is so much more authentic and engaging than using pictures on a worksheet.
@JuStuKSUGrad I agree that it has become a way. However, I often see that teachers use technology mostly for instruction and practice. It is hard to break old habits. We need to start with training the teachers with ways to use the technology to address the 4 C's.
@_rameyTechSuite This is my favorite thing about using technology applications in math. There are some great programs that provide all the things you mentioned in this post. With all the standards we have to cover in sixth grade, these programs are huge time savers.
