All resources contribute to reliability. There have only been three ERCOT rolling outages since 1989: two in February (2011 and 2021), one in April 2006. Today likely would have been the second April outage without renewable power.

- ERCOT is 40% carbon-free
- solar looking like wind circa 2010
- coal decline offset by wind + solar
- gas variability driven by gas prices
- wind & solar are not displacing gas at all
