Many NWS offices don’t even have the resources to launch weather balloons twice a day anymore, but sure, expect them to have enough people to dedicate to watching live streams. I’m sure they try to do this but probably hard to focus on it with all the other tasks.
Honestly at this point, if the NWS isn’t monitoring chaser feeds in real time I’d ask WTF are THEY doing? They’ve got 90 monitors in their buildings. It’s 2026.
Sometimes I can’t even get the right office to show up here when I try and tag them.

WOW! For the moment, we have reached G5-level storm conditions. Not as strong as the Gannon Storm of May 10-11, 2024, but this #solarstorm is packing a punch! We still have two more yet to go, so let's hope we get a small break between them to allow the power grids a rest!

Nothing against RHY, but it’s just hard to take these new weather apps seriously that are directly tied to social media content creators, individual storm chasers, etc. Just my 2 cents.
