@WestHarlm@Gothamist Your data is more that three years old. You can actually go to https://t.co/ktQPdRuXDV to see every executed eviction. It looks like more evictions were executed in 2025 than in 2019 (~19,400 vs ~18,800)
@RezaC1@EspaillatNY Famously, the Congressman is in charge of the agency that oversees city housing code violations.
This is dumb even for you, and that's already a low, low, low bar.
@michelletandler How many of those landlords applied to DHCR's Comparative and Alternative Hardship program that would allow them a building-wide increase beyond RGB guidelines?
@ceaweaver I run a small housing rights nonprofit and my wife is an attorney, and we don't even know how we're going to afford childcare, let alone homeownership. Homeownership isn't even a consideration.
@FrankLuntz That's our choice. A meaningless existence at a corporate hellhole so that maybe we can eke out a living that involves raising a child, or perpetually hold off on children so that we can look at ourselves in the mirror.
@FrankLuntz The market would rather I sit in a desk, making pivot tables for a product I couldn't give less of a shit about, so the landed gentry that I never see can pay their share holders' dividends.
@mjpost I make nearly $99k/yr in NYC and deadass eat beans and rice I make at home for lunch most days and roasted veggies/pasta I make at home for dinner.
@IamSean90 Median monthly rent in this building is $1,362. Median monthly (pre debt-service) expenses for a unit in an RS building in BK was $1,015 in 2025. Expenses for pre-1974 buildings are usually less.
LL has enough income to cover repairs.
