@hulu Camping in my RV 20mi from home with a Roku TV and a 5G hotspot. App says I can’t stream because I’m not on home network. I can watch on my tablet and phone, but not on my Roku TV? We’re done. Lifetime ban on Hulu. Third time I’ve tried Hulu; you never fail to disappoint.

@daringfireball 10-12 years ago it was computationally prohibitive, but in dropping cookies, ad networks are just going to do the user correlations on the back-end. Site owners will install a plugin that siphons logs back to Big Ad. They’ll still be able to track you sans cookies.
