O Irã assemelha-se cada vez mais ao Japão do fim da guerra, que, teimoso em sua honra samuraica, prolongava o inevitável. Quanto mais se obstina em não render-se, mais se aproxima do destino de Hiroshima e Nagasaki: não como ameaça vaga, mas como sombra concreta que já se desenha no horizonte. Os Estados Unidos, ao que tudo indica, perderam de vez a paciência com o espírito de Okinawa da Guarda Revolucionária, uma mistura de fanatismo ideológico e suicídio coletivo que transforma soldados em mártires e civis em escudos. Trump decidiu, ao que parece, que basta. Que o regime dos aiatolás será arrasado, sem meias medidas, como se arrasa um ninho de vespas quando o incômodo se torna intolerável.

E, como sempre, será o povo quem pagará a conta mais alta pela estupidez relutante de seus líderes fanáticos. O povo, a eterna vítima sacrificial dos delírios de grandeza dos “líderes”. Como sempre. Rezemos, pois, pelos inocentes, sabendo, com a amarga lucidez dos que já viram tudo isso antes, que as preces raramente alteram o curso da História quando os poderosos resolvem que chegou a hora do acerto final.

To the Americans:

I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.

And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:

You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.

This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.

Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.

This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.

But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.

This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.

And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:

Thank God for the United States.

Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.

Long may your admirable country dominate the world.

Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning.

Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill.

Thank God for the USA.

This morning, Rumble and Trump Media asked a U.S. federal court to enter default against Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.

Moraes was properly served by a method authorized by a federal judge. The 21-day deadline to respond passed. He did not appear, respond, or ask for more time. The Government of Brazil sought to intervene at the eleventh hour, but clarified that it does not represent Moraes.

Around the world, governments are increasingly trying to regulate speech beyond their borders. What is different about Moraes’s case is that a foreign official may now be held accountable in a U.S. court for trying to regulate the speech of U.S. persons inside the United States while bypassing the First Amendment — and for seeking private data of U.S. users while bypassing U.S. legal process.

This case is not about whether Brazil may enforce Brazilian law in Brazil. It is about whether a foreign judge may use secret orders to reach into the United States and control speech, data and platforms through unlawful coercive threats.

The answer should matter to every American, regardless of politics.

457 days after @rumblevideo and Trump Media sued Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes over extraterritorial censorship, a federal court in Florida has finally authorized service by email.

Today’s decision allows the case to move forward and takes us one step closer to protecting Americans’ First Amendment rights from foreign censorship.

Justice Moraes imposed secret censorship orders from Brazil on American platforms and speech protected by the Constitution while bypassing the U.S. government and courts.

Moraes must now respond in an American court or face a judgment by default.
