@CityCommons Thanks for your response. Completely understand that the decision was reviewed/approved by Natural England and appreciate the offer for further info. We were shocked by the extent of the works, adding to the tree removal done last year but trust this has all been considered.

@CityCommons Nearly 40 trees down in Coulsdon Common, some over 50 years old. Cut on the grounds of safety but looks excessive to say the least. Very disappointing especially given how beautiful that forest is. Epic fail! Hardly conservation and very sad. #CoulsdonCommon

@CityCommons That is precisely the area we saw today. Fully grown long trees piled on the field and more marked to be cut down. Not sure sacrificing part of a forest to promote a field is the answer but obviously not my call. As mentioned it looks really sad to see all of those trees felled
