For Thanksgiving, @NMEnvDep employees shared a thank you video with the @NMLegislature for appropriating the money necessary to fix pay issues that existed for years. I am proud of New Mexico for recognizing that #publicservice matters. https://t.co/1cYViiuKqy #nmpol#nmleg
When the @NMLegislature invests in the @NMEnvDep - we deliver. ๐ฅ Our return on investment was 18.4%! Penalizing bad actors provides real value to the many good actors who invest in compliance and ensure a healthy environment for future generations. #NMPol
In FY24, @NMEnvDep brought in $30.2M through enforcement actions and surpassing the departmentโs $25.5M operating budget. The fines collected aim to hold polluters accountable, improve water systems, reduce emissions, and enhance environmental health. https://t.co/jLGvupVdl9
Thank you @TheJusticeDept and @EPA for helping @NMEnvDep supplement its resources against the deep pockets of @HilcorpEnergyCo. To learn more about this settlement, visit: https://t.co/b2RnamqAS1
Over the past several years, ozone levels in the San Juan Basin have been pushed higher by widespread non-compliance with air quality rules. This can result in federal or state sanctions making all air quality permits more stringent for all industries. https://t.co/eusSsE86Fz

The @NMEnvDep is offering private PFAS well water testing for residents around @CannonAFB_ as @DeptofDefense continues to litigate vs. remediate. @WhiteHouse@DoD_IG@USGAO@USAFReserve@USAFMedicine @USAFRecruiting

At some point, the @DeptofDefense will need to understand they are not the fourth branch of government and are accountable to @POTUS and the @WhiteHouse with oversight by Congress. Most importantly, they are accountable and responsible to the people around their bases.
โSo the realities of being on private drinking water around a military base in the United States of America in 2024 is an abomination and a complete failure of the @DeptofDefense to take care of the people who live in their neighborhood,โ Kenney said. #toxictruth
@SecretaryBiser@NCDEQ@NCChamber I hope your legislature, business community and residents realizes this is good for public health and your economy. Thank you for your leadership on this difficult but necessary issue.
