The point that I am getting at is that AI and its ability to synthesize and analyze large data sets and have better information on correlations are massive. It is a tool that we should have and it is a utility at that point, however we cannot just hand over our existence to it to enrich a few folks.
The way they are explaining the utility model is not the greatest. Maybe the way we need to look at AI and its uses, we should look at it what are the best ways to preserve human experience and utilize these advancements? How can we evaluate the training models and maintain critical thinking for humans?
Do you think fraud hurts america? Can we put as much effort into fighting that across party lines vs just trying to tear down the other side? The fraudulent funds alone would make a major difference in education funding don’t you think? Especially funding workforce development to address job creation. We need to align our workforce to the future not the past.
I would say we weaken america because of how Washington behaves.
As a member of the Bristol Select Board, I hear from residents all the time about the real challenges we face in Bristol and New Hampshire: housing that's out of reach for working families and young people, education funding that's too dependent on crushing local property taxes, and the frustration when we can't seem to move forward on the basics.
We have serious trouble with housing and education funding here in NH and across the nation. Watch this Senate floor moment: Sen. John Kennedy proposes a simple, fair idea—that Congress should forgo pay during a government shutdown, just like federal workers who lose their paychecks. A quick objection, and the objector walks out. No debate. No conversation. Just gone—showing how some in Congress act entitled, above the rules the rest of us live by.
Our government is supposed to represent us, not act like it's exempt from the consequences. We need leaders willing to stay in the room, have tough talks—even when we disagree—and actually work toward solutions.
Dodging isn't leadership. Spring is now here—time for Congress to get back to work for the American people: stay in the room, argue your points, vote your conscience, and tackle the issues you campaigned on, not avoid and disappear.
If this hits home, please re-share and tag your senators—let's get real accountability.

What is sad is that if you believe this so strongly please get all of congress into same systems as the rest of us! Then representing us becomes more straight forward. Not you all getting special treatment with the only goal of making the opposing side look bad when you think you can. We can then have logical practical arguments without conflating topics.
How about we start with all of congress participating in the same plans and programs? If you all are not treated like snow flakes you may garner agreement as to the next best steps. It would also be easier to represent families in NH because the impacts would be felt by yourselves too.
@SenatorShaheen Maybe the way to drive agreement is to have all of congress participate in the same plans and marketplace. Why dont we start there? What are your thoughts?
Feeling bullish, proud, and humbled to be here with the most talented and professional team. Thanks to Joe G. For being a great business partner and to some of the most talented engineers in the world. FY25 was amazing. FY26 we are going to crush it.

@HaroldFordJr@TheFive Harold, I loved what you said “In government, start from what you agree on.” I wish many others would start there. Thanks for laying out your logic. So many levels of our government need to learn that lesson.
One of the biggest lessons I learned when I first moved to Silicon Valley was the following:
“Sometimes, extremely rational people can make very logical decisions for exactly the right ethical reasons and those decisions end up killing companies.”
The other big lesson I’ve learned is to never fight a mega trend when instead you can use it as a tail wind to propel your business and yourself forward.
Now, the skepticism towards a mega trend in the early days probably feels logical. It feels rational. But it will almost always guarantee failure. There is more to lose by being late than early.
This note from @tobi to his employees at @Shopify isn’t much different from what we have been discussing at @Cisco for the past several months.
The reality is that the time for us being rationally skeptical of AI has now come to an end. It is now irrational to not be going full speed in AI adoption. So even if you see challenges with AI, don’t use those challenges as justifications for not learning how to use AI. Rather, use the challenges you see to increase your dexterity with AI and bring your feedback into the overall process of iteration and improvement.
Many have heard me say publicly that there will only be two kinds of companies that will exist in the future. Those that will be AI-forward companies and others who will discount AI and struggle for relevance. Cisco is a company that will unmistakably be AI-first. I greatly encourage every employee of Cisco to read this memo from Tobi at Shopify. I couldn’t agree with him more and appreciate how eloquently the sense of urgency and strategy is clearly articulated.
My request to Cisco. Let’s stay constantly dissatisfied with where we are today. Let’s become extremely curious about the change happening in society with AI. Let’s shape the world by showing our creativity and ability to invent with AI. Let’s also have a willingness to be shaped by the movement that is AI.
Looking forward to every person at Cisco becoming highly dexterous with AI and committing to having an AI-first mindset. It starts with each of us knowing that there is more we can do to tap our full potential with AI than without.
Thanks Tobi for sharing your memo.
@RepGoodlander Your post on face value to make sure that the legal law abiding citizens of NH receive the benefits is absolutely what you should fight for. I wish you would stop fighting to prove the other side wrong and focus on making sure the goverment isnt wasting my hard work. #nhpolitics
