@NoLayingUp@DataGolf how about the 2014 stanford lineup of Pat Rogers , Mav (a sophomore), and cam wilson (who i peg, with a biased take, as the best talent of those three … just missed your screen shot at +2.45 / ranked #28 all time) . what a team
@BigJohn043 The best GPs put together a team without ego. Multiple people at GP get involved with multiple people at the LP, and the capital link becomes sticky. Very rare, and almost impossible to build upmarket.
@walkerRcarey scottie on 18 was brutal. no idea on stats but he was 0 for 3 at a typical + side of 50% distance. poa with wind is no joke but still. i did look up spieth from 15.5 feet … 1 for 7. brutal. some world class shot making by usual suspects hidden by cold flat sticks
@RonDeSantis pelican is top of that list & it’s not close. would put track up against lion share of top 100 with how they can set it up. the hang, the members, the little details …. all icing on a cake that is the course but certainly leaves you with a remarkably great taste
@mnestler40@PLLNationals@markmillon ditto to everything. feel bad i mentioned incorrect rumors last wk, should have waited for your big J reporting. tip of the hat to you & apologies to mark
@TerenceFoy@NDlacrosse the program is a shining example of developing success. there is a title wave of amazing ppl in that sea of green who make program better and better each year. a nice listen is the interview coach gave to his niece last summer on a podcast about he personally has grown.
@mnestler40@PLLNationals@markmillon You actually did a great job exonerating @markmillon of the rumors. If anything, Mark should pair the truth with disabused rumors as evidence we clearly see how much he loves his kids. Nothing wrong with a guy who loves his kids, in fact that’s a great baseline in life.
@AmericanMadeCPM@mnestler40 i hope not. that locker room is stacked w/ talent. young guys like hopper have such a high ceiling. wanted to see him channel his attitude with 4 yrs under lars. uva a great place. hate to see all the smoke & rumors of outside influence. only guys in that room know tho
@mnestler40 great legacy (cut short) for Coach T. gave an awesome lecture to Darden in 2018 or 2019 about building a culture. think the ‘23 team was his best … beat ND twice that yr & we stole the third one. developed shelly into probably best uva teammate of all time. much respect
@DanOnGolfShow track “errors”: shots where u didn’t have par putt or better. (score to par) - (18 -((36-total putts)+GIR)) … ie shoot 76 (30 putts, 10 GIRs on a par 72) = (+4) - (18-((36-30)+10)) = 2 errors. focusing on errors and GIRs will help a high single digit get to low single
@danarestia more importantly, hope shelly is still on the uva staff next year. gotta keep some great ppl around cville to stymie disgruntled parents pirating the ship… if rumors are true anyway
@d00gs i know at least some principal donors not happy w/ the mark millon rumors. buddy of mine, a big time bmore laxer from the 2000s, mentioned he hoped uva survived the millon family. had no idea threat was real. if millon stuff is true, mark commited the worst sin of a parent
@junkbondinvest Can a sponsor fix a stranded BDC? Do a case study on the origins of SAR, sixteen years ago…..a couple individuals pulled off this initial KKR strategy. Been a fabulous ride with a growing franchise ever since. Great fund, even better people.
@HandlerRich@DanielSLoeb1 these days chiseling even for 25 bps on 500k trade can be a tall order …. would have liked to live thru the days of paul voigt working the lines
@Chris_Jast skeen a great coach, but would a d1 opportunity in the acc entice some involvement from pressler ?! would love to see smu build a culture like richmond’s club>d1 rise. plenty of talent already came north from highland park over the years …. hope this happens
@ND_Atl@NDlacrosse great writeup. cuse game is sort of a freebie, we likely host rd 1 no matter what. hope to see Luke Miller with ball more initiating. have all the talent in the world at midfield, but will get so much more spacing by initiating behind cage
@chambleebrandel Yo Brandel- similar to the club head evolution, do you think the evolution in graphite iron shafts will also help older (35+ y/o) preserve distance and accuracy with irons? Axiom shafts feel just as smooth as steel and are noticeably easier to swing for me. Thoughts?
