@NiklausFuller Thanks @NiklausFuller! I also just found you can customize your timeline…
I’ve been wanting that feature in social media forever!
Example: turn of politics and show me useful AI updates
So cool
I just moved over to X from Instagram as my primary social media, and its SO much better. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
1. Faster, better access to thoughts on important topics from the right people
2. Better mix of video / text. I’m reading more…
3. Less doom scrolling, more deep thought
Overall, the vast vast majority of people consume far too much media relative to what they produce / build (myself included)
But as far as consumption goes, X is superior
@ramit Except there is no conversation about the budget itself or how this money will be used.
It’s about punishing the rich, not about creating useful services.
Overtaxation / socialism leads to everyone being more equal - as in equally more poor.
@MatznerJon Yes, we get cheaper goods, but that’s not free market or free trade, it’s government subsidies and American companies pay the price for unfree markets in other countries. If we can’t produce essential goods, our ability to negotiate is severely diminished.
It’s a game of chess.
@MatznerJon I’m not sure the right level of tariffs, and probably bad idea to go overboard.
There are probably reasonable situations to use them, such as response to another government strategically using resources to manipulate production or mitigating geopolitical risk
@MatznerJon Global free trade would be great if all countries had free markets internally, but China and others have state-run production facilities etc, so not a free market at production.
US has to protect our critical supply chain. Reality is that not doing so is very dangerous.
Entrepreneurship is:
- Getting to profitability (constraint creates innovation along the way)
- Release products quickly and iterate
- Build incredible products and services that people love
- Slam dunk sales offers and community
- Getting 1% better every day
Entrepreneurship is not:
- Spending all your time fundraising
- Going to events, happy hours, and networking
- Being "pre-revenue" and in beta for years
- Hopping from idea to idea
- Bragging to everyone about your startup
The conventional wisdom amount entrepreneur influencers is to make each team member responsible for ONE number.
For example:
Social Media Manager is responsible for total subscribers. I ONLY care about that one number!
At this point, you now have your key business processes defined, and you have resources responsible for individual steps.
Now I think you are in a position to put in place process managers.
Process managers are responsible for the outcomes (metrics).
