Wake up, folks. Commodities are telling you something, and yesterday the Treasury confirmed it.
Scarcity in the physical world. Repression in the financial one.
Scarcity pushes prices up. Repression holds yields down. The gap between them is the debasement.
Commodities are the only asset class that wins on both sides.
The structural case for commodities has been turbo charged. Underinvestment, deglobalization and electrification all pushing markets like diesel cracks and copper to new highs.
Meanwhile the chokepoints are increasing, from Hormuz to the Red Sea, the Rhine, the Panama Canal, the Black Sea grain corridor and Russian refining capacity. It is becoming increasingly apparent that not a single one of those is reachable by anything in Washington's toolkit whether it be caused by war or weather.
The illusion of abundance is likely behind us. I said as much on CNBC this Monday, and I got long gold, silver and agriculture last week.
Ten points for you to consider. (1/11)
I’ve been practicing meditation for a long time, and it has easily been one of the most powerful things that’s helped me in my life.
It provides an equanimity—almost like being a ninja. Everything slows down around you, and you are able to deal with whatever comes at you from a place of calm.
More importantly, it opens up a connection between your conscious brain and your subconscious brain. That is where the magic is, because that is where all creativity is trapped. When you quiet your mind and move past the noise, you open up that channel.
It’s a very simple exercise. If you ask me if I would be at the same level of success without it all these years, I don't believe I’d be close.

Institutional onchain markets face a structural privacy gap.
Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) are emerging as core infrastructure for institutional onchain markets by resolving the tension between transparency and confidentiality. By enabling private execution with verifiable onchain outputs, TEEs support settlement privacy, confidential RWAs, and real-time compliance.
Early deployments by @OasisProtocol and @PhalaNetwork show how TEEs can act as privacy coprocessors for regulated DeFi.
This year, I’d encourage you to consider a unique kind of holiday gift — a donation your friends and family can give to the charity of their choice. This kind of gift is far more meaningful, and it's simple. Anyone can do it.
If you’re interested, check out organizations like @TisBest and @DonorsChoose .
I think gifts like these are more in keeping with what the holiday season is really about, so I wanted to pass it along. #GivingTuesday #RedefineGifting
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 The Federal Reserve has officially injected $29.4 billion into the U.S. banking system via overnight repo.
The most in US history
Economists, are we cooked?
As far as I can tell here is what happened. [some of conversation I imagined]
The US Commerce Dept widened export controls of its technologies to a wider set of Chinese companies (all the subsidiaries of sanctioned Chinese cos with 50%+ interests) and started charging Chinese ships higher port fees.
China said bro that’s a dick move! We agreed in Madrid back in June no more dick moves while we still talking! You just totally made a new dick move! The US Commerce Dept said 🖕.
China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) then widened export controls of rare earth export and mining/refining technologies and started charging U.S. ships higher port fees.
And then President Trump heard about it and he was already upset that he was snubbed of the well deserved Nobel Peace Prize for saving the planet 7 times this year. So he said China is attacking us! We must retaliate! 100% tariffs on China! [I’m really pissed at Xi bc he totally made another unjustified dick move! But I still might meet with him in Seoul next month bc we are bros.]
Now you are caught up.
Hedge fund billionaire David Tepper just issued a warning to the Federal Reserve: Be careful not to ease too much.
Here's what he said live on CNBC. 👇️ https://t.co/4CKXtllQLZ
