Lots of other ace books, but these are my faves
To say you need to "build relationships" with students in order for them to learn is to say nothing.
The teacher-student arrangement IS a relationship.
What people mean when they say that is you should be FRIENDS with your students.
It's a hard no for me.
Wow this school site is the best I have ever seen for AQA GCSE Science. So much time and effort has gone into this. Amazing stuff 👏👏👏👏https://t.co/zxszd7UIoX

Last term we decided to focus on teaching behaviour explicitly to our pupils.
We had recently maintained our outstanding grade but felt like behaviour wasn't quite where we wanted it to be. We decided to explicitly teach pupils our values.
This is how it went 🧵
This new tool from @ICT_MrP is perhaps the best ever invention in education.
All you have to do is type what you want (worksheets, lesson plans, ppts and lots more!) and it utilises AI to make it for you in 30s.
Use the code reports23 for 50% off.

I've been working on GCSE AQA SLOP booklets over this year. They include core questions, required practicals and also separate booklets for triple. T1-4 are available in the link in my bio. T5-7 coming soon! @cogscisci@chatbiology
Some schools - You love them and they love you and it just works. You know if you left they’d be gutted and you would be too. The kids would be gutted above anything. In teaching, it can be tough to find these places. I’ve taken it for granted in my career - twice. And I paid the price. Because the places I left to were not a fit for me. Worst scenario, you leave somewhere for a place that is utterly toxic.
