Everyone in China struggled to get a constant supply of food during the famines and the Cultural Revolution. I don’t think 3 years is “way before”.

The residual effects from COVID are still there. The poor no living and what is the govt. doing? Nothing. Only the rich and powerful in China are doing well.

More death isn’t the answer to this. Also the people protesting in close proximity were just roasting Elon Musk for saying quarantine is bad.

Whats the point of losing potentially dozens of lives protesting something when protests that are non violent are also usually more effective
