@ThomasDrance Great idea. Curious how’d you suggest they implement this ? For next 2 years, if I’m getting this right would mean that R2-3 would have low value players. NHL would have to wait 2 years for better players to age up for R2-3 eligibility. Short term pain long term gain I think.

A modest proposal to fix the NHL Entry Draft:

- 3 rounds. That’s it.
- Players that turn 18 by Sept 15 of their draft year can only be picked in the first round.
- Players that turn 20 by Sept 15 of their draft year eligible in rounds 2 + 3.
- Undrafted 20-year-olds become UFAs.
