لیکٹرانک ووٹنگ مشینوں کے لیے 'ہماری' طویل جدوجہد کو یاد رکھیں۔ ای وی ایم میں کاغذی بیلٹ تھے جنہیں ہاتھ سے گنا جا سکتا تھا (جیسا کہ آج کل کیا جا رہا ہے) لیکن اس میں ایک سادہ الیکٹرانک کیلکولیٹر/کاؤنٹر بھی تھا جو ہر ووٹ ڈالنے کی لیے دبائے جانے والے بٹن کو ساتھ ساتھ گن سکتا تھا۔ ہر امیدوار کا رزلٹ پول ختم ہونے کے پانچ منٹ کے اندر دستیاب ہوتا اور پرنٹ بھی ہو جاتا۔
ہماری یہ تمام جدوجہد، جس کے لیے ایوان صدر میں 50 سے زائد میٹنگ ہوئیں، ناکام کی گئی۔
اگر آج ای وی ایم ہوتی تو میرا یہ پیارا پاکستان اس بحران سے بچ جاتا۔

Disappointed to see that despite my opponent from PTI winning the elections in NA-56 with a clear majority, as is evident from Form-45, his victory has been unjustly overturned through a sham process. This is a blatant theft of the people's mandate, and I strongly condemn it.

We loved this uniform, having personally taken the ISSB exam. However, this uniform no longer deserves any respect. Spare me the argument that only the generals are corrupt, accused of usurping our rights, notably in relation to the February 8 election. The act of theft was executed by the army's lower ranks at the behest of their superiors, making both tiers complicit. Should anyone argue that the lower ranks are innocent and not criminal, then why did they obey the illicit orders from above?
Those donning this uniform, adorned with our nation's beautiful green flag, Pakistan, have become leeches, draining the lifeblood of Pakistanis for the past 76 years. There was a moment when they overstepped all bounds, splitting Pakistan into East Pakistan and West Pakistan in 1971. They have repeated history, hijacking our votes. They have nullified the Pakistani constitution four times, instituted martial law, and embroiled Pakistan in external conflicts, such as the wars against Russia and the Taliban, all at the USA's instigation.

To forge a prosperous, genuinely democratic Pakistan, we must relegate these uniformed individuals to their barracks and compel their adherence to the Constitution of Pakistan.
Otherwise, we risk a repeat of the 1971 tragedy. History must be our teacher, ensuring the Pakistani populace is listened to; their voices amplified, their voting rights safeguarded, and their freedom to select their leaders upheld.
We vehemently denounce the Pakistani army's infringement on the rights of Pakistanis, specifically the right to vote.

Remember 'our' long struggle for Electronic Voting Machines. EVM had paper ballots that could be counted separately by hand (like it is being done today) BUT it also had a simple electronic calculator/counter of each vote button pressed. Totals of every candidate would have been available & printed within five minutes of closing of poll.
The entire effort that included more than 50 meetings at the Presidency alone was scuttled.
Had EVMs been there today, my dear beloved Pakistan would have been spared this crisis.
