@fusefx you should be proud as hell—you folks produced some of the most artistically stunning work you’ve ever done, which is saying a lot given your stellar track record. Beautiful vfx work!
If you feel you don't have any "original" ideas, just paint some unoriginal ideas. If you're genuine about it, you will make it your own. Being original is highly overrated. Here's a medieval knight and a dragon.
@yeetclasseatass @ducain23 On top of that, RTFM and Google. That is how the professionals learn. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us. Don't be afraid to not know what to do. Ask questions when you are stuck, but also don't' forget to learn how to be self sufficient :)
@yeetclasseatass @ducain23 Blackmagic Design has a good series on their channel. It is for Resolve 15, but almost (if not all) of the features in 15 are in 17. Resolve 16 and 17 did add a number of features in their releases, but these videos will still set you up well https://t.co/XTRTzeX7ln
@Snapshot19@ducain23 For me, once I realized that the value for Resolve Studio was leagues above anything Adobe could offer, it was an EZ buy. Saved money. Got a better product. One less Adobe application to deal with. Wins all around.

@ducain23@machoic_planet Learn how to color manage your projects. That's my biggest recommendation and something most people gloss over. Well managed projects will do most of the heavy lifting for you, and you can just focus on making artistic decisions.
@CrazymillerTTV @ducain23 Resolve is driven largely by the GPU. Likely it's a hardware or driver issue. I had to upgrade mine when I first started using it because my little AMD FirePro wasn't up to snuff. Since GPUs are impossible to get at the moment, if you have a solid CPU, staying with Premiere is OK
@ducain23@Halo_VFX Yeah. Fusion is a perfectly capable compositor but it pales in comparison to Nuke. For basic things or super light compositing, Fusion is fine.
