Former IT Infrastructure/Cloud architect, engineer and project delivery guy - now work in tech/digital strategy/op model/sourcing and M&A. All opinions my own.
@publicaddress Yeah - despite government and consultant spend plummetting still a LOT of suits heading down daily. Might also be why 1 way tickets to WLG at 6:30 are $700+ on AirNZ unless you book weeks in advance. Been taking the 6AM Jetstar recently.
@HendoWest Pick 1-2 styles/colours from Farmers, K-Mart of somewhere that keeps them in stock then just buy way too many. As long as they match (or are close enough) then life is good.
Only exceptions being football/sports socks which again - buy way too many pairs.
@2degreesmobile - topped up my son's prepay with $30 using online form today, was charged $115 and he suddenly had an $85 plan active. Spoke to call centre and apparently my $85 is being refunded but how the heck does that happen?
So the combination of โSponsoredโ being replaced by a teeny tiny โAdโ marker and what I can only imagine is a mass exodus of legitimate advertisers mean I now get anti-vax, random Christian rants and bizarre pro military tweets in my feed that look legit. #orsm
@SwiftOnSecurity Don't miss the joys or processmonitor during install to track down all the random files, reg keys and other bits and pieces that were checked or changed when trying to track down an issue like this.
Today FM PULLED OFF AIR. as Duncan and Tova explain the station and staff are being cut.
โWeโve been told to play musicโ
โThis is it, folks!โ
@HendoWest@BrookeLoader@tauhenare Itโs OK to support a team thatโs not the warriors - as your 2nd team.
Did you miss the conditions of residency for West Auckland?
@MalwareJake "best practice" is usually unburdened by realities like budgets, tech debt and human nature. They are useful as data to inform what's right for client and their context/environment.
@defnotdivy @SwiftOnSecurity I better stop here before it gets too specific but yes - took a while for team members to compare notes, even come up with that as a potential cause, write it off as ridiculous and then find enough proof to show it was at least likely.
@aaronbrazell@SwiftOnSecurity All the things those annoying auditors pull teams up for not being locked down that most it Ops teams scoff atโฆ. Not to mention an IT team stretched to keep things humming in a 24/7 operation.
@aaronbrazell@SwiftOnSecurity Without getting too defensive (or too identifiable): Low security maturity on insider threats, suspicion only not enough to pursue, really odd behaviour at really weird intervals. Attack vectors were common - service accounts with desktop access and access to clear logs etcโฆ
