@micsolana I think it's fair to weight votes heavier for those that contribute more via taxes.
However it also seems fair to weight heavier votes from those who will have to live with consequences longer (young people).
Do these cancel out?
If you want to increase muscle size, just make sure you are moving against resistance into as deep of a stretch as you can on every rep, in good form of course. The weight doesn't matter. Deep stretch, against resistance, 6-20 reps, get enough protein and sleep, you'll see gains.
@mcuban And look what happened to the cost of college and houses? Anything that is guaranteed by tax dollars will forever inflate. This is a bad idea.
If hospitals know they are guaranteed payment, why would the not just keep increasing costs?
@KonstantinKisin And even crazier is the fact that athletes and musicians have most of their wealth as cash in the bank or expensive assets, and entrepreneurs have it primarily tied up in functioning businesses performing useful things for the world.
Great insight.
I still have a nagging concern though:
If the models end up having a better "batting average" than humans at making good strategic decisions for a company, then why would they need a human to sign off on anything at all?
Wouldn't the company simply hold itself liable for any mistake the model may make, and send it to work, knowing whatever mistakes it makes are going to be far less frequent than any human.
Similar to Telsa allowing the AI to fully control the Robotaxi, with a human no longer necessary to always have their face looking forward and hands on the wheel.
It feels inevitable that we will get to the same point in executive decision-making and design.
@RoKhanna They do not "hold wealth". They built companies which create products or services that millions of people find to be valuable, so those companies succeed and gain in value. The value is in the companies that provide services for society, not money in bank accounts.
How about you pay 5%.
Elon gives much more than 5%. He gives blood sweat and tears into improving our future with a whole new electric car industry, affordable space transport and satellite delivery, fixing traffic, and making the blind see.
You are such a slimy politician. Get the hell out.
Creating a business that has value is not "hoarding wealth"
An entrepreneur having a large net worth due to the value is his/her companies does not mean they a billion (or even a million) dollars in the bank.
It's very interesting how you seem to believe you are a mind-reader and can see the real motivations, beliefs, and feelings in people you do not know.
And a huge number (probably a majority) of young people (under 25) greatly admire the billionaire entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos for their accomplishments and contributions to society.
@SenWarren Even if it were true that it would be enough money to do that, it would not happen. The money would be sent to NGOs who would steal it, sending a kickback to you as way of a thank you for helping them do crime.
@RoKhanna Yes sure. Stop the insane fraud, and go ahead and use the cash saved to give $3000 checks to families marketing 150k or less.
But would much rather it be used to pay down national debt or build affordable housing.
@brivael We need to build homes for people. Then they can maybe afford one. Then they can believe they can have a family and a life like our parents and grandparents did.
