Today is the day that I’ve decided that Twitter is not worth my time. The fact that the majority of users are just men trying to be as offensive as they can, makes it about as appealing a place to be as a darkened alley next to a pub frequented by football yobs. Adios!
@gaymoomin Studying for the test isn't "driving theory". The test itself is called "driving theory" because it goes hand in hand with the "driving practical" test.
The theory test is first.
As in "if you can't recognise what this sign means you're not ready to drive a tonne of metal"
@CMalarine@DanielleStasko You'd rather facilitate the ongoing failure of someone who has a problem, than recognise that they have recognised that they have a problem?
You're still drinking with people that have a problem you know, but apparently you just don't care!
#funbobby
@BriCamillucci Glad you don't have to pay that much yourself. As a non American, what's shocking is that is normal, and also the normalisation that many of the comments are putting on it that this is just the way the system "works". Your "system" is head to toe broken if this is normal!
@DaveGander @PellsPool I mean the industry dedicated to constructing retail establishments, who purchase retail fittings en masse, not individual retailers who buy off the shelf fittings…although actually everything they buy will be in metric too.
What they sell is not relevant.
@DaveGander @PellsPool Depends on the industry…I bet you’ll find not a single plumber, architect or carpenter that wants Imperial back. For that matter no one involved in retail will want it…but let’s just say a certain group of retired voters will regard it is a victory
@RealMattLucas It's a step towards dictatorship to be honest. 1st you make people fearful of others (Brexit) then make others less visible (This), then you warn about others for no particular reason. The trouble is many people don't see how insidious these changes are because they look funny.
Brexit Britain:
"I'd like to buy a pound of apples, a pound of bananas and 8 ounces of grapes please."
"I'm terribly sorry, but we're completely out of fresh fruit."
@theJeremyVine Probably his only way out is to claim some kind of diminished capability. Judging by some of his interviews, that might not be all that difficult a sell. At the very least he’s naive beyond belief.
@Imranicus @ScrumptiousBlue @Otto_English I’m sure that’s exactly what it is. First obvious sign of looking to ingratiate himself to the Tory core ahead of the next election. There was no purpose to bringing imperial back. Everyone knows how stupid it is. No one young uses it. There is an ulterior motive.
