BREAKING: In an amazing and rare political moment, Bill Clinton in one fell swoop, just humiliated Donald Trump for turning the White House Rose Garden into what looks like Liberace's bathroom and hammering Congressional Republicans for allowing it. This is amazing.
Obama: "The big trade war he's starting now is with that well-known evil empire, Canada. These are the people who gave us maple syrup and Martin Short. Canadians, they're the nicest people."

🇺🇸🇲🇽 New York Mayor Mamdani is now speaking directly to immigrants IN SPANISH, telling them how to deal with ICE agents
And he's getting VERY specific.
Don't open your door without a judicial warrant. You have the right to remain silent. Don't sign anything before speaking with a lawyer.
He even explains how to check whether a warrant is actually signed by a judge, rather than simply issued by immigration authorities.
Mamdani also reminds residents that NYPD officers do not participate in routine federal civil immigration enforcement and points them toward the city's free immigration legal hotline.
He's promising to protect the RIGHT TO PROTEST, too.
This goes beyond criticizing Trump's immigration crackdown. Mamdani is personally walking New Yorkers through how to exercise their rights when federal agents show up at their doors.
And he's doing it in the language many of the people he's trying to reach speak at home.

President Obama, "Imagine if I had pulled Fox News's credentials from the White House Press corp. You're laughing but this is what's happening"
"It's unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now, would have tolerated behaviour like that from me, or a my predecessors"
"I say this not on a partisan basis, this has to do with something more precious"
"Which is, who are we as a country and what values do we stand for?"
My view: Democratic norms only mean something if we defend them when they protect people and institutions we dislike, as well as the ones we like.
Otherwise they are not principles at all - just partisan conveniences.
America appears to be taking a deeply troubling turn, and this is precisely when more people should be speaking up for the values the country has spent generations presenting to the world: freedom, democracy, truth, justice and the American way.
Rafif and Marwa… two little hearts brought together by love and innocence. 🥹♥️
Amid everything we are going through, their smiles and the way they hold each other are the most beautiful reminder that life still gives us something worth holding on to.
I hope you grow up side by side, always carrying this love for one another, and that one day you will live the childhood you truly deserve—in safety and peace, far away from fear and war. 🥺❤️
May God protect my daughter Rafif, my sister’s daughter Marwa, and all our children.🙏🙏

"We've talked multiple times, especially in the last week. A lot of that stuff is just him supporting me and me supporting him and having to turn his back. I think the biggest thing is me and him align on the cause, which is humanity. We both care about humanity, regardless of skin color, race, anything like that.
"I think some people are like, well, it's pretty black and white. We don't have to have all the answers to everything to know that. An innocent man, an innocent woman, an innocent child losing their life is not right. I don't need anybody to gaslight me into saying that. I just know that's not right, whether they're here in America or somewhere halfway across the world."

KAEPERNICK: The part that I hope people take away in this moment is what Robert Kraft and what they’re saying by denying Macklemore the opportunity to perform with Ed Sheeran is they are willing to collude. They are openly colluding.
When we filed the grievance, it was like, well, the owners wouldn’t do that. Everybody just wants to win within the NFL. And the realization is, no. They want to protect their interests. They want to protect their power. They want to protect their money. And they also want people to know that if you take an action that they don’t agree with, they will come for you. And that was some of the warning coming out of the protest and some of the warning coming out of the grievance, is that they will organize against you. Which means that we collectively have to organize to be able to protect our interests as well.
Ed Sheeran should be reminded of Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s words:
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor”
I am sorry to have to say this, but I find that the Canadian Prime Minister’s remarks paid a better tribute regarding the September 11 attacks than the President of the United States himself. I invite you to listen to them—not to mention the speech delivered by Jean Chrétien in Gander.
