Finished Fortunately, the Milk by @neilhimself as a read aloud with my 3rd graders. Class laughed out loud, on the edge of their seats the entire book. Everyone clapped and cheered at the end. Not the same response at the end of Stone Fox, which it followed. Not in the least.
@MsSutton12#GRABAT18W2 ch 5 a4: Bat didn't explain what he was talking about so Janie misunderstood him. Bat could have chosen his words better. He may have no patience to find the right words. This makes Janie misunderstand him.
@MsSutton12#GRABAT18W2 ch 5 a3: maybe they could put some towels in a basket for the kit. Or, they may build a small habitat for him in Bat's room. Perhaps the habitat could have a dog's bed.

#GRABAT18W1 A2: He is called Bat, because those are his initials. He also flaps his hands when he gets nervous, mad, or excited. He also has sensitive ears. Finally, he loves animals.

Thanks to @MilsteinLab for Skyping with Room 10 on Thursday. 3rd grade Ss learned a bit about biological physics, and more importantly, about the work scientists do. We now have many budding scientists in class, excited to learn more. #SkypeAScientist @moragaedtech
