Public Safety Update
The Federal Bureau of Investigation recently shared information with law enforcement agencies across California regarding a potential threat involving Iran.
At this time,
there are currently no verified threats identified within our county. Our department continues to work closely with our local, state, and federal partners to monitor and identify any potential threats, and we will provide updates as needed.
Out of an abundance of caution, patrols have been increased. We encourage community members to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity. If you see something, say something.

Although events in the Middle East are far from our community, threats made toward our state underscore the importance of staying alert and reporting suspicious activity.
We are working with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and in partnership with state and federal authorities, to identify any potential local threats.
At this time, there are no known threats to our county or city, however, we have increased patrols at places of worship, our regional hospital, and shopping centers.
The best way you can help us in keeping our City and Region safe is by reporting any suspicious activity - See Something, Say Something.

I stand with the Riverside Sheriff’s Department and Riverside Sheriffs Association to honor Deputy Calhoun.
To all our law enforcement, I thank you for the service you provide each day.
Tonight, we mourn the loss of Riverside County Deputy Darnell Calhoun.
Just last Friday I attended the funeral services for Deputy Isaiah Cordero and today, the family of another deputy must receive the heartbreaking news. The attacks on law enforcement must end.
During this morning’s routine of helping my wife get our kids ready and sneaking in a cup of coffee, a friend sent me a couple photos from my first board meeting. It made me stop and think about how grateful I am.
My sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Deputy Isaiah Cordero with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
We stand together during these difficult times. Our law enforcement community deserves our continued respect and support.

My sweet little Gracie, happy birthday. You are sweet, loving, kind and beautiful. All of these are qualities you learned from your mom and are growing up to be as sweet as she is. You will always be daddy’s little girl. I love you Gracie.
