@naftasux @Tri_Stanisaurus This comment is what brought me all the way from "how do you even" to "well yeah that makes sense". My brain was imagining a cad model of an aluminum part, but a complex part of a non homogeneous material would make sense for causing problems. 40% is still huge though..

@xmanplez @Fat_Electrician At the start of 2020 I got 0.9% interest rate on a new car loan. The total interest paid over the lifetime of the loan was a few hundred dollars. I checked around 2024 ish and the market value of the car was higher than the original price I paid.

@bria_sole @jaayyvvv I'm convinced that if you only eliminate the species that bite humans, the environmental effects would be minimal. We still need mosquitoes to fill their ecological niche. Lots of birds rely on them as food.

@danae_hudlow I once learned a really amazing trick for making realistic maps for D&D. Just take a real map of literally anywhere and turn it upside down. Nobody will recognize it
