@farmingandJesus Not sure where you’re getting the $5 billion number, but it is very sad that the Southern Baptist Convention covered up rampant sexual abuse by Baptist ministers for decades. The SBC even had to sell their headquarters in order to settle lawsuits.

@realmikolson You clearly have never read the Church fathers, you’re just regurgitating Protestant talking points on the subject
St. Ignatius isn’t just arguing that Jesus had a real body, he explicitly states that the Eucharist “is the flesh” of Christ.
Anyways, who is your Bishop, Mika?
@realmikolson You have clearly never studied Catholic theology from Catholic sources, you just regurgitate anti-Catholic propaganda others have told you. Try actually reading something
“IF THE PROTESTANTS WERE RIGHT, THEN CHRIST WAS A LIAR”
Dr. David Anders spent 10 years pursuing his PhD to become a “reformed” theologian and disprove the Catholic Faith.
After diving into history, reading virtually every word of several of the protestant “reformers,” and many of the Church Fathers, he realized the truth: the Catholic Church was Christ’s true Church, and always had been.

@farmingandJesus History has entered the chat. Also your response is a red herring as opinions of the laity are irrelevant to official Church doctrine.
@BIG_SGT_D@LamarWeb65@CdnAngel1970 Try doing a second of research before revealing your ignorance. Orthodox & Protestants use the Septuagint numbering, Catholics & Lutherans use St. Augustines. Nothing was erased.
@farmingandJesus@FatherChrisVor1 Catholics have always lead the fight against abortion. Protestants largely accepted it for a number of years (the Southern Baptist Convention even voted to approve it three separate times in the 70s). Protestants still approve of IVF & contraceptives.
