##ncsa2024thresholds is just beginning! Kicking off with a bang hearing @optimadies, @reifitzpatrick , Celeste Seifert, and Artemis Alexiou on Feminist Considerations and the New Woman!
Brush off those old twitterstorian skills. We're in @Louisville! #ncsa2024thresholds is just a day away, though I'm here a little early for the Board meeting tonight. Can hardly believe I'll see old friends in person; it's been awhile! [Can we still say #twitterstorians?]
@RColesworthy For whatever it's worth, people of this thread, your institution might have a person like me, who provides rights clearance guidance as a service to faculty. Worth asking!
@RColesworthy@nicolemrizzuto1 It is so fascinating for me to hear this from your POV, @RColesworthy. I've been doing copyright licensing and rights clearance for years and I never thought of publishers relying on fair use defense.
@Rinfishe @Nicole_Amodio @caiofernandoxp @MiguelCoStudio@PrimeVideoLat@PrimeVideo Claim: "I believe 14 significant changes constitutes enough alteration for art to be a novel piece." I did do some light research, and there seems to be nothing to support # of alterations as a grounds for overturning derivative status. This is what I thought anyway.
