More Monday night football for MUFC.
Both April home league games switched. Zero - absolutely zero - consideration given to what match going fans think or want.
It's a very solid argument for a number of city fans that going to Wembley sometimes 3 or 4 times per season isn't affordable, or that the desire to go for a semi final isn't always there.
But they're missing the point of the piss taking.
Steve from Stockport may not wish to go, that's fine, Steve may have gone 10 times in the last 5 years and now doesn't fancy the expense and effort of a trek to London for a televised football game.
We're not laughing at Steve, we're laughing at the fact that a club that claims to have colossal annual revenue and a global fanbase to rival United, Madrid and Barcelona can still leave 5000+ seats unsold for a cup semi final.
So Steve and his pals may say no thanks to the ticket, but there's nobody waiting in the wings to snap up any spares?
It doesn't add up and they know it.
They rattle on about their fanbase and all the rest of it and then regularly pull out shit like this.
You can't have it both ways, lads.
Tonight is the first time Manchester United have won a game 5-4 since February 1, 1958 vs Arsenal at Highbury.
Duncan Edwards, Bobby Charlton, Tommy Taylor (x2) & Dennis Viollet were the scorers that day.
Edwards & Taylor both died in the Munich air disaster later that month.
