With Asian Americans being the only racial group whose leading cause of death is #cancer, the first-ever study was published asking questions about the #lungcancer disparity in the demographic. See the article in #JTCVS: https://t.co/ovbUyn09ux

Dear @VUMChealth community,
After 14 incredible years at @VUMCLung , it's with mixed emotions that I announce my departure. It's been an honor to serve as Director of Bronchoscopy & IP and a Professor here.
During my time at Vanderbilt, we built an exceptional, internationally renowned IP program together. I'm proud of what we achieved and the lives we've impacted.
Now, I'm excited to embark on a new journey. I'll be joining John Lazar and the amazing team at @Ascension_tn St. Thomas and work with @TNOncology@PremierRadTN where I'll continue to pursue my passion for #lungcancer & #iptwitter. Change is never easy, but it brings new opportunities for growth and innovation.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues, mentors, and friends at Vanderbilt. Especially, @MaldonadoFabien, @RobJLentz & @samirashojaee, You've been a source of inspiration and support throughout my career.
I'm looking forward to this new chapter and the chance to make a difference in the lives of patients in my new role. Thank you all for being a part of my journey. I'm excited to start my new job! #newjob
@JAMASurgery@Some4SurgeryIT1@Some4SurgeryIT1 thank you for recognizing our work and sharing it. We have several full length articles pending which I think will help shape the future of surgical training.
@StephenVLiu@dauphinesdc@StephenVLiu thank you again for a terrific meal. I cant wait for you to come visit in Nashville so I can return the favor! Please continue the great work!
Thrilled to announce that I have been promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine!
I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and guidance of my mentors, colleagues, and beloved family throughout my career journey.

New #research from @MedStarResearch could be a game-changer in evaluating #thoracic surgery residents’ mastery of #RoboticSurgery techniques. Learn what the study found and why the details matter when it comes to assessments. https://t.co/lCOLcjIdEH
@ElliotServaisMD@LindaMThoracic@tssmn@lcsmchat Have to remember that DLCO/FEV1 threshold is not “prohibitive”, it only predicts higher risk of cardiopulm complications & low values have 2 extra steps in algorithm: including low- & high-fidelity tests. Only test with a numerical value labeling as “prohibitive” is CPET.
@MedStarWHC@nbcwashington Very happy that we were able to treat this #lungcancer at such an early stage. As Ms Randolph states in the video go to your Doc if something seems off
#LungCancer cases in non-smokers are rising. That happened to Jennifer Randolph who never smoked. Jennifer and her doctor John Lazar (@jflazar) tell @nbcwashington why we need to trust our instincts and be our own health advocate. https://t.co/94srFF77oa?
