This is one of the most cold blooded and heartless things I’ve ever seen from a Prime Minister. Keir Starmer admits that he knows some farmers are considering suicide because of inheritance tax on family farms, but he then confirms that he will continue with the inheritance tax.
Excited to welcome Lucy MacLennan to the Mid Anglia Branch on 13th Jan for “Research, Reality (and a few) Revelations”.

🚨 NEW PETITION 🚨
The UK–US trade deal is being forced through with NO vote, NO consultation, and NO impact assessment.
Parliament must decide — not ministers behind closed doors.

It is deeply alarming that these significant changes are being nodded through without any parliamentary scrutiny.
This cannot be allowed to happen.
MPs must be given the final say to defend our country's precious food, farming & animal welfare standards

It is one of the great scandals of our time.
Drax, which generates electricity by burning trees imported as pellets from North America, is more expensive than gas, more polluting than coal and more dependent on imports than oil.
Yet it is, incredibly, designated as ‘sustainable biomass’, pocketed £870m in subsidies last year and will likely trouser another 2 billion subsidies over the next four years – all to allow Ed ‘The Zealot’ Miliband to include Drax in his net zero calculations.
Not just a scandal but an expensive scandal for the taxpayer.
The dreadful consequences of Labour’s tax and farming policies:
🚜 78% fear their farms won’t survive the next 10 years
🚜 89% have paused/ delayed investment because of the Family Farm Tax
🚜 61% have considered leaving farming in the next 5 years.
Fewer 🇬🇧 farms and farmers = higher food prices for us all. The country can’t afford Labour.
The @Conservatives will always back British farming, starting with axing the #FamilyFarmTax

Time is running out following @I_W_M’s decision to close the Lord Ashcroft Gallery.
Visit while you still can, to honour the bravery of those who risked so much to protect our great nation.
Two Suffolk farmers living next to a former bomber base used GPS to draw the shadow of a B-17 Flying Fortress onto one of their fields that lay under the base' former flight path, then ploughed it with a tractor to create this striking temporary artwork! 🙌 🚜

Farmers were thrown under a bus by the Conservatives through trade deals with Australia and New Zealand.
MPs must get a say on any future trade deal with the USA if we stand a chance of protecting Britain's high farming and animal welfare standards.
Every year is different and so far I prefer Spring 2025! Spring drilling completed on Tuesday 25th March. 🤞for a good growing season. Well done team Conant Farming. A mixture of direct drill, strip till drill and cultivation drill depending on soils and rotation. 👍
