#New Publication out in the FEBS journal from #Protein structural biology group @CUG, Gujarat.
Lysyl-tRNA synthetase & its implications for mis-acylation. Congratulations Jay & all the team.
For those studying metals in biology, I encourage you to join this seminar series. Diverse international speakers covering a range of topics in the field. Seminars are recorded, so the archive can be viewed at a later date - ideal for student training! https://t.co/h2i02OykFa
I have a PhD position available in my group, starting March 2025. If you have an interest in biochemistry and would like to study an exciting class of copper proteins (aka weird Cu tubes) from bacteria, I'd love to hear from you. You should apply here: https://t.co/kswIkoKBm7
Happy to share that I have officially defended my PhD at CUG. A big thanks to my examiner Prof. M.R.N. Murthy, for suggestion and guidance and to my PhD supervisor Dr. Anju Pappachan for her unwavering support over the past 6 years. It has been an incredible journey. ❤️#PhDone.
Jigneshkumar Mochi, a PhD scholar at the SLS, CUG won the Best Online Poster Award at the 35th Molecular Parasitology Meeting! His research on "IMP binding and dimerization of Adenylosuccinate synthetase from Leishmania donovani" earned him a $300 prize. Congrats!
I am thrilled to announce that my PhD work is published in the BBRC journal as the first author. I would like to thank Dr Anju Pappachan, PhD guide for her support and guidance, as well as my colleagues Jay Jani and Kiran Tak.

@patankar_lab Dr. Swati and her PhD students are good in nature and also lab environments. Before, I mailed her a postdoc position in the lab. She arranged a short online meeting, unfortunately my criteria did not fit her lab. My background is the structural biology of parasite protein.
