One sucky thing about college is that everyday just feels like another day. “Oh tomorrow’s Saturday? That’s cool” or “Oh my birthdays in a few days huh that’s good to know.” You just realize these things and keep working.
I swear if one more person tells me “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” I swear I am going to loose it. The joke died six years ago. It’s not funny.
Adulting at its finest: I have refilled my own prescription, returned an item to a store by myself, and grocery shopped for the week. College here I come 😂
Funniest realization of the day: Diabetic awareness month is the month of November which is also the month of food. Someone did not plan that right. Or maybe it was to make a point that we can eat whatever we want. Either way it’s funny for me.
Kid at my work: I'm going to build the tallest tower!
Me internally: Bet
Needless to say the kid knocked over my tower because it was taller but hey a little harmless competition is a good thing.
Signs up for ACT: ACT-oh you’re a type 1 diabetic better put you in solitary confinement to take the test. Me- uh no thanks. ACT- well then you can’t use any of your supplies or have access to quick sugars in a normal testing room. Me- so why can’t I just test like everyone else?
So I’m sitting in a hair salon nervous because I’m getting a large portion of my hair cut off and the hair dresser starts talking to me about my book I was reading. We had a lovely conversation about books and how movies suck by comparison. Truly made my day.
