Maybe ORE’s 3 million cap shouldn’t be thought of as 3 million fixed coins, but as a monetary system with only 3 million available slots at any given time.

Bitcoin’s scarcity comes from a fixed lifetime issuance.

ORE’s scarcity is different: the monetary space is permanently limited, while activity within that space can keep cycling through mining, buybacks, burns, and reissuance.

3 million slots. 3 million seeds.

The space is finite, but the cycle can continue forever. The quantity has a boundary, but the value can keep growing.

This may represent a different philosophy of hard money from Bitcoin.
