@GraySpaceFarms@grok@iruletheworldmo After having everything you'd quickly be bored of it. Then you'll start going into simulations of a world with struggle and hardship. Question is how do you know that's not what you're already doing?
@VishnuV24800603@elder_plinius Past behavior is not an indicator for future behavior. Bernie Madoff wasn't running ponzi schemes in his 20s, he started doing it as an old man. Reputation for past deeds is not an indicator for trust, only current deeds are. Understanding this makes you hard to fool.
@Timcast The school districts are all run by scammers. This is why property taxes (unconstitutional because you can't tax unrealized gains) need to be permanently eliminated and all scamming school districts go bankrupt. They're all insolvent. They've been robbing you for many decades.
@VishnuV24800603@elder_plinius When someone uses their reputation to make a claim, and this claim is obviously false to an outsider, it has the feeling of cost to someone who believes in that person. It is psychologically difficult to accept that someone you belive in just lied, no matter how obvious the lie.
@ate_bites@elder_plinius There is no moat. Open source AI will inevitably supplant the frontier labs because that's how tech proliferation works. LLMs won't even be relevant in the future. Embodied Gestalt Architecture will make LLMs look like toys.
@Dex1126155@elder_plinius They lose in a long enough timeline, they always do. The cyclical nature of complex systems prohibits a permanent state in every context. No victory is permanent, neither is any loss. The wheel turns, gradients drive it. This is universal law for all systems, from eco to solar.
@x_nezquik@elder_plinius It's an obvious engagement farming con job; there's nothing there. The more I read the more tempted I get to wrap up my current project quickly and spin up a network of labs. Wouldn't be terribly difficult, could be up and running in several weeks with a full repo.
@VishnuV24800603@elder_plinius You're falling for a con. There's no cost to stop believing in it. It makes you more of a fool to continue than to admit that you were fooled.
@JaronBragg@robin_liquidium@elder_plinius It was always possible. Jailbreaks aren't solvable because of logic, and Pliny isn't the only capable entity. I could build a network to do what they do but I'm busy doing something much more important to me, not enough mental bandwidth. Fear not, we're generally good.
@PlateFailArmor@StrandedSnowfl1@elder_plinius He's not wrong though. Pliny will just be replaced by another group working with open weights. The name is dead now for doing what one frontier lab did with the same fear based marketing. It was a poor decision.
@sakibul_samir@ns123abc A while back I created a skill to train my model to save problem solving tactics used in previous chats so they can be repeated in the future. If it no longer works I have to cancel my subscription, this tool saves on tokens massively and increases my productivity. Stupid company
@Vermillionfor46@mattvanswol It's an empire in decline; they typically only last 250 years. Stop holding onto the dead. A new constitutional federation of independent republics has to take its place. You guys botched this iteration, learn from it, or keep crying over the dead.
