HOW TO: Create Realistic 3D Food in Blender in 10 steps.
1) Get Multiple references
2) Macro Details (Displacement by sculpting or Procedurally)
*********Material & Texturing*********
3) Always use Normal/Bump map ( Micro details)!
4) Always Use & Mix multiple Image Textures as base color!
5) Only Go Procedural if image texture not possible. (Use a lot of Mask).
6) Subsurface scattering (SSS) Abuse it!!.
Always Change SSS Radius. Eg: Bread=[R: 1, G: 0.9, B: 0.7].
Play with SSS Depth (important)
************ LIGHT *************
7) Always Try to use HDR even with low intensity
8) Avoid using Pure White light (slightly colored) [R: 1, G: 0.9, B: 0.7]
9) Use 1-3 light setup. And always Angle ur light
*********** COMPOSITION *************
10) Use multiple Camera: Capture your food from multiple angles. Camera C viewing angles can make ur food shot ๐ธ looks more realistic than A
******** COLOR MANGEMENT ********
10) Play with Color management (ACES looks good for food)
