@whatcar The article is wrong about the Seat Leon 1.5 eHybrid having a 39 mile EV range - it should be over twice that. I think the 39 miles refers to the older 1.4 engine. And (like the Cupra Leon but not mentioned for the Seat) also available as an estate.

@tompeck I think it depends - some battery systems still rely on a grid connection and shut off if they don't see one, but others can keep working & supply from the battery for a bit. Not clear if those can all recharge from solar without grid though - tomorrow may be more interesting.

@mikex163 @theheatinghub "Furnace" sounds like something at a few hundred degrees C. "Boiler" sounds like something - most would assume water - at a boiling point of 100 degrees. Those names seem actively misleading for a technology which (as I understand it) works best at lower temperatures.
