@SumoFollower I've had a good experience on Mastodon. It's harder to promote - you have to use hashtags & depend on people boosting posts (i.e. retweeting) so that they are seen in other instances. There are only a few sumo accounts but there is a thriving community overall.
@nerdguy5 @tech_instigator I started a few months back. It's different, but it all makes sense. You still follow individual users, but you must do it via your (authenticated) home account. It's similar to RSS.
@_scottChampagne @BriannaWu Honestly it's been a few days and I've gotten used to it. It kind of makes sense when you think about it: You must follow a user from the instance you are logged in to. Seems like mobile has an easier time of it, probably b/c your app is the middleman.
Plex's file name requirements are nuts. I spend way too much time renaming files hoping they will show up in the interface. Too much magic. It would be better if it showed EVERY file. Apply metadata where it can, then allow me to enter data for the files with issues. #plex
@shanselman Honestly, trying to look at this from a neutral perspective: it's all rumors. Maybe wrong, but it seems like slightly-more-advanced click bait for the article. As a 20+ year generalist: 1st thing I ask is to be put on all PRs. Even if I don't know the language.
@HomeDepot How can a simple scrolling picker slow down your entire #Hubspace app? Do you understand recyclerviews? Are you asynchronously calling afero as you scroll? Try keeping it simple & use a standard time picker. Your making #android apps look bad with this stuff.
I have to admit that I honestly stared at this and thought "Red Hat Linux isn't my go-to distro but some people really like.... oOOOOHhhhh..." #linux#accidentalLinux
