When should climate tech startups begin thinking about policy? What do pol campaigns and startups share in common? And what's the big thing team Biden can do to accelerate the tech we need? Listen to my pod convo w/ @jjacobs22 @mcjpod. #energytwitter https://t.co/rCg2jr7rvF
In the final installment of a three-part op-ed series, @michaeljsachse and @jkapsis lay out five key pieces of advice for climate tech founders:

The new Gist is out! #Climatetech is working to tackle the fashion industry – we need to clean up our catwalks! Fashion makes up 5% of global emissions with 40% from yarn production alone. https://t.co/vYkuaqiVc5
But we won’t get anywhere without better fabrics. @circ_earth and Recover Fabrics are working on recycling fabrics. @Rubi_earth and @mangomaterials are creating low-carbon fabrics. In fact, Rubi is made FROM carbon emissions.
New York’s proposed Fashion Act would require large retailers to map their supply chains and set and pursue emissions reduction targets. The European Commission will have comprehensive rules in place by 2028.
Awesome to be #Get23 in NYC with team @OctopusEnergy and their fearless leader, @g__j, who leads this global energy transition rocket ship. If you don’t know them yet, you will…
We’re back with a new Gist, talking about EV charger reliability (outside the home) and why it’s one of the last roadblocks to getting people to replace their gas guzzlers with electron eaters. https://t.co/XaSHbwk3Kv
How bad is EV charger uptime? @JDPower survey respondents say one out of five EV chargers is broken. So pretty bad. We don’t want to strand EV drivers so they end up back with a gas-powered car.
EV charger uptime requires policy fixes. EV chargers getting federal (NEVI) funds require 97% uptime. But state plans lack details on how they'll enforce that.
I appreciated the chance to share my thoughts on SVB’s impact on climate tech startups with @evanhalper of @washingtonpost and what it may mean moving forward for the energy transition.
Our CEO @jkapsis spoke to @evanhalper on what the SVB fallout means for climate tech startups in the long term. AHG friends @ConnectDER and @DandelionEnergy interviewed on what it was like to lose access to their cash. https://t.co/2CyL9lICFO
Thought @RoKhanna did a great job on @FaceTheNation explaining the giant impact that SVB's demise could have on the survival of climate tech startups, other innovators, and the regional banking industry unless FDIC/Treasury take definitive action before markets open tomorrow.
"We certainly are working to address the situation in a timely way," Secretary Yellen says in regard to my question about whether the US expects a deal or something to reassure the markets before trading resumes in Asia tonight. $SVIB @FaceTheNation
@justindotnet@DominionEnergy Was there a big storm that we all missed or is this yet another in a series of random mystery outages that have hit ALX over the last few years? It seems like @DominionEnergy has some work to do. @praveenkathpal
Last week, 20+ companies banded together to launch the Carbon Removal Alliance (CRA). This emerging industry needs to advocate for policies at the federal and state level that create a market for permanent CDR solutions.
In the Gist, we tackle how both blue and red states can win with the right policies. CA & MA are looking to spur CDR removal with the new proposed legislature. States like Wyoming are positioning themselves to be DAC Hubs.
