When I was like 25, I went through a really rough patch work-wise. My business just got copied, all my buyers pulled out. I genuinely thought my entrepreneurial future was ruined.

I was crying to my dad, wanting to give up, and he looked at me and said,
"Alex... If I thought you were dumb, I would set you up with a nice life. It wouldn’t be great, it wouldn’t be fancy, but I’d get you a reliable car, a condo somewhere, it would be simple and stable...

But you’re not dumb, so I’m not going to do that. Go figure it out."
