@balkwhisperer This ball is still foul but it does explain why the umpire looking from above the ball, not from the side, would call it fair. He sees that piece of the ball that is above the “fair line”, making it appear fair.
@Coach__Strick I just read up more on this. They actually did put a stop watch to it and ended up putting .6 back on the clock and Navy had a last possession.
@Coach__Strick Yes when u review it, which u must here when a basket is scored as time runs out, and see the clock didn’t start on time, you can stop watch it to see if it should count or not.
@bballbreakdown@bpa331@tennis4life13@bretstrelow If u end ur dribble in the air during ur jump instead of before leaving the court, u are able to pivot. We are trained not to split hairs on these possible travel plays at the NCAA level.
@bretstrelow By this reasoning u wouldn’t be able to take a jump shot or jump to pass the ball. U can always lift ur pivot foot to pass or shoot, just can’t put it back down. U can’t pick it up before starting a dribble however. This play is GREAT footwork!
@Dahoopref@AyersRefTracker@walkeri141 If he is throwing to a teammate who is also OOB after a made basket, it would be a Class B delay of game T. Since he was throwing to an inbounds teammate, it is a warning on the 1st occurrence. I like that they did not take time off because the ball was not legally touched.
