🔷Beta Testing of a live dApp 🔷

This weekend we had a testing session with 12 Coinweb community members for a cross-chain DEX - @CWAPSWAP! ✅

Native $BTC <> $ETH swaps were the main trading pair being tested.

The goal? Test the main flow, ID any issues, and gather feedback to fine-tune our protocol functionality and their dApp.

Main results:
🔷Smart contract execution was flawless
🔷Test setups worked
🔷More orders needed to improve bot testing
🔷Great UX suggestions from testers
🔷OpenAI-powered reporting tool created
🔷BTC wallet fees to be adjusted via API

I previously proposed that various countries or regions around the world could consider incorporating digital assets into their strategic reserves, which has generated a lot of discussion in society. I am pleased to see more discussion on this issue from all sectors, so that we can gather wisdom and insights. I would like to share some further thoughts:

1. As is well known, the current investment strategy of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority does not include digital assets or Bitcoin as options. By sharing these thoughts, I hope society can explore the feasibility of this, so that the public can better understand the technology and development potential behind Web3 and virtual assets. As an "international innovation and technology center", Hong Kong should not exclude any possibilities, as long as they are based on technology, innovation, and social consensus.

2. It is evident that global acceptance of digital assets is increasing, with Bitcoin being a prime example, and it is already recognized by some as "digital gold" within the current technological context. As Hong Kong's economy seeks new drivers for growth, facing international political and economic tensions, and with the rapid development of digital technologies, it would be a far-sighted and prudent approach to explore, under compliant conditions, the inclusion of compliant digital assets in strategic financial reserves.

3. There are opinions that "if the government takes the lead in buying Bitcoin, it may indirectly encourage citizens to buy things that have no value." This is like a blind man trying to describe an elephant, failing to see the full picture and true nature of the future development trends of digital technology. In fact, Bitcoin and the underlying blockchain technology have been validated, and many countries, local governments, and large companies have policies supporting the development of related technologies, including Hong Kong. Instead of hastily denying the value of these technologies and Bitcoin without evidence, it would be better to research the underlying technological knowledge and capabilities first. We should not be afraid of the rapid development of digital technology and virtual assets, and refuse to embrace them. If we completely reject them without fully understanding their advantages, it would not be beneficial for society.

我早前提岀全球各國或地區可以考慮把數字資產納入戰略儲備，引起社會不少回響，我樂見各界就相關議題多加討論，集思廣益，藉此機會，我希望向大家進一步分享一些看法：

1.眾所周知現在金管局現行的投資策略並沒有數字資產或比特幣選項。這次分享看法希望社會可以探討相關可行性，從而讓公眾更認識Web3 和虛擬資產背後的技術及發展潛力。香港是「國際創科中心」，在科技、創新和社會共識的前提下，我們不應排除任何可能性。

2.有目共睹的是，全球對於數字資產的認受性日益增加，比特幣確是其中的表表者，已在現行技術背景下被部分公眾認為是「數碼黃金」。目前香港經濟謀求新質發展動能，面對國際政經局勢緊張，加上數字科技發展一日千里，香港要緊貼世界發展格局，未來研究在合規情況下把合規的數字資產納入戰略財政儲備，是周全和有遠慮的做法。

3.至於有意見認為：「若政府帶頭買入比特幣，或會間接鼓勵市民買入該等並無價值的東西」，情況未免是瞎子摸象，看不到數字科技未來發展趨勢的全貌和真象就草率否定，事實上，比特幣及背後的區塊鏈技術已經經過驗證，不少國家和地方政府、大型企業都有政策支持相關技術發展，包括香港。與其在沒有論據下說相關技術及比特幣是毫無價值，不如先多研究背後的科技知識和技術，不應以害怕數字科技和虛擬資產的急速發展而因噎廢食，如果在未完全了解數字科技和虛擬資產發展優勢就一刀切否定，實非社會之福。
