Private Relay from @Apple is broken! Beware if you're a sysadmin and want to migrate servers as you may need to allow longer for a switchover than you think. Coming up for 3 days and it's still pointing to the old IP. https://t.co/pJjGVNll82
Got a @UPS_UK delivery directed to a Yeep! locker as I wasn't sure I'd be home but knew I'd be able to collect it the same day. It's been delivered but I have no code to access it and apparently it can take up to 24 hours to get a code sorted. Hopeless.
Somewhat annoyed with the usually excellent @JohnLewisRetail as despite the order process for a rug clearly stating through the order process that it was eligible for free standard delivery or collection, it turns out it isn't and there is a ยฃ19.95 charge.
It's disappointing that the website is wrong all the way through the process. It even says on the product page that Click and Collect is available but then says it's delivery only in the checkout.
@johnlewishelp
After clicking Continue to checkout, it then adds on ยฃ19.95 for delivery which was unexpected. The agent I did online chat with told me that it was because of 2-man delivery service, but this is not clear anywhere.
The lady at the desk was not exactly open to the idea that weโd get our deposit back (after trying to upsell their insurance) and the lady at the pickup point didnโt seem to be able to get the email I sent with photos of existing damageโฆ
@nsandihelp If I Cash In some of my Premium Bonds but take "defer until after next draw option" would I receive the money before 5th April in order to utilise this year's ISA allowances? Thank you!
@CuckooInternet When will you be re-opening orders for people in @SwishFibre areas? (Some of my neighbours have Swish and I was about to order when it started redirecting to cuckoo)
As a DC area pilot, I'm stunned by the tragedy at DCA last night, & my thoughts go out to the loved ones of those who perished in the crash.
There's a fair bit of ill-informed opining going on about what happened, which is unhelpful.
Here's what looks to me like the best informed commentary I've seen thus far:
Preliminary analysis of the crash of flight 5342 today suggests a possible factor might have been the helicopter pilot accidentally looking at AAL3130, a larger plane landing behind 5342, on a different approach but visually close and possibly brighter than the closer, smaller 5342.
