Tough sequence brewing here:

The Red Sox ruined their relationship with Rafael Devers in the name of making Alex Bregman their 3B.

So they traded Devers for a package centered around Kyle Harrison and James Tibbs.

Despite that, they let Alex Bregman walk just 7 months later over a no-trade clause.

So they gave that money to Ranger Suarez (8.64 ERA in 2 GS so far) despite having a full rotation.

And made Caleb Durbin (.204 OPS so far) the new 3B.

And traded Kyle Harrison (2.61 ERA in 2 GS so far) and more to the Brewers to get him.

James Tibbs (7 homers in 9 games this year in AAA) was traded last year for half a season of Dustin May (5.40 ERA in 6 games for BOS).

@ProfessorNickP @QUSchoolofComm @QUJournalism There has been an update . . .

[John Powers @jmrcom]

@ProfessorNickP @QUSchoolofComm @QUJournalism Things may change in ‘24-‘25?!

[Bill Simmons @BillSimmons]

I’ve had 2 hours to think about it - this was Steph’s best 3 ever.

[John Powers @jmrcom]

@QuinnipiacU Congratulations! I notice @ephe_mia proudly wearing the cords of The Agency at Quinnipiac!

@Espngreeny Did you happen to watch the Steelers play offense today?!

[John Powers @jmrcom]

Can we now get @mookiebetts back and return Verdugo and Wong to the @Dodgers?!

[Red Sox @RedSox]

The #RedSox today announced that they have parted ways with Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom.

You could say the auditions for a third ManningCast host did not go as expected.

[John Tomase @jtomase]

Sean McDonough didn't mince words on WEEI broadcast after Mookie Betts homered. "It's a trade that can never be defended and a stain that will never be erased, the trade of Mookie Betts by the Red Sox."

[John Powers @jmrcom]

Crazy to think we traded this guy away. . .

@kerry_buscaglia @YouTubeTV @NBATV It’s blacked out here in CT on Xfinity/Comcast also, and they don’t carry MSG. Not happy.

[John Powers @jmrcom]

Couldn’t agree more.

[Barstool Quinnipiac @BarstoolQU]

You know pres is always gonna show love to the Bobcats

[John Powers @jmrcom]

This is what is most upsetting about the current state of the Red Sox. They are barely fielding a major league team despite having the highest ticket prices and are worth $4.5 Billion. Why are we the Pittsburgh Pirates with these resources?!

[Thomas Carrieri @Thomas_Carrieri]

A friendly reminder the Boston Red Sox are the third most valuable franchise in Major League Baseball, but don’t have a top 10 payroll.

[Victoria Arlen @Arlenv1]

My Dad was on the inaugural team… one of the 1st scholarship hockey players… a poor kid from Boston… until a school by the name of Quinnipiac gave him a chance 🏒 To see him watch @QU_MIH win their first ever National Championship with tears running down his face & the immense pride for his alma mater… there are no words. 🙏🤍

[John Powers @jmrcom]

What a game . . . Congratulations!
