I think the AFL spends too much time thinking about grand ideas and sweeping change and completely overlooks changes that could be made in a heartbeat that would instantly make the audience experience much better. Here’s a few.
This goes for broadcasters too.

- give microphones to journalists in press conferences
- give fans access to multiple camera angles (behind the goals post game)
- bring back cash options at all stadiums
- change round zero to round 1 and have all teams play
- have a pool reporter option available for umpires post-game
- loosen copyright laws for the benefit of emerging fans
- get rid of the bye rounds and have 1 league-wide bye for fans ease and fairness amongst teams

There’s a million small things really that the league could do tomorrow, and I’m sure you all have plenty of ideas but there seems to be a fixation on big pie in the sky thinking
