A very aggressive hit piece on me has just been published in the Daily Telegraph by Allister Heath - labelling me ‘a deluded egotist who is toxifying British politics.’

He gives three examples of why he is so horrified by Restore Britain’s presence.

Number one. The fact I stated my concern around projections that ‘white Britons will become a minority by 2063’.

No statistic greater demonstrates the astounding way mass immigration is changing our country. He calls Restore Britain’s worry around this ‘racism’ and ‘disgusting’.

It should have ‘no place in mainstream politics’.

It’s that attitude which has allowed our communities to transform in front of our very eyes over the last few decades.

It’s not going to work on me.

This brings us on to his second point.

The fact that I highlight how parts of Manchester have essentially been colonised by Islamic populations.

YES.

I stand by every single word.

Communities in places like Rochdale, Oldham, entire districts in Manchester itself.

Replaced. Of course this has happened. My advice to the journalist is this - go and visit, use your eyes.

I did exactly that, and it shocked me.

There is no multiculturalism. There is one culture. One religion. One way of life.

Islam.

I make no apologies for my views on that, and Restore Britain’s efforts to change it.

His third concern? Incredibly…

The fact that Restore Britain has banning halal and kosher slaughter as a policy.

He is offended by my description - ‘barbaric foreign practices that have no place in our high-trust society’.
He calls it ‘despicable’, and it puts me ‘beyond the pale’.

He states that banning halal ‘would trigger a civil war’…

Does that not prove my earlier point correct?

Whatever.

I don’t want millions and millions and millions of animals to be brutally butchered and left to bleed from the neck in the most unimaginable pain. Does that make me ‘despicable’? I think not.

I am a British farmer. In this country, we care for our animals properly. I don’t care if that offends certain religions, I really don’t.

He also takes issue with me labelling cousin marriage non-British. Seriously?

If you are a Telegraph subscriber and you disagree, I suggest you let the paper know. They think your concerns around Halal slaughter are ‘despicable’ or that if you’re worried about parts of Britain becoming mainly Islamic that view is ‘foul’.

He was invited on to talk about Restore economic policy but you were determined to railroad him into talking about ISLAM. When you eventually moved onto talking about his olive branch towards Farage you talked over him and rudely told him you weren't interested in the detail. The crucial newsworthy detail we wanted to hear but you had other ideas because united the right doesn't suit your agenda.

My wife just spent four hours waiting in Urgent Care at the nearest hospital, on the advice of the NHS Maternity Service, because she's showing signs of preeclampsia. Can lead to fatal blood clots. She's a high-risk pregnancy.

Seen by an African nurse who barely speaks English, and makes multiple spellings errors in her notes and hospital letter.

After four hours of waiting, she's seen by a doctor — who tells her to make her own way to another hospital to wait in the Accident & Emergency department to get tested there instead.

Comes home and calls the hospital, who transfers her to a maternity service, also staffed by an African woman with an indecipherable accent, totally indifferent to the urgency of the situation. Tells her to come into the hospital and wait.

We went to this same hospital months ago, when we thought she had miscarried. Took seven hours to see us, and after telling us twice we had probably lost the baby, they did an ultrasound which showed she was fine. Somehow, they managed to miss A SECOND BABY with the ultrasound, though.

So now she's in A&E for another few hours, either for a life-threatening condition that's getting worse while she waits, or for something a quick scan and an Aspirin prescription will fix in moments.

No wonder maternal mortality has increased.

The incompetence, inefficiency, waste, and negligence in NHS maternity services is astounding. It's not just strain on the system from demand: it's that frontline staff are not compassionate or qualified.

Nobody seems willing to criticise this because it's mean, but so many people who interact with NHS services have a bad story.

It doesn't have to be like this. I don't care what needs to change to make it work. Just make it fit for purpose.

Rod Liddle, a Sun and Sunday Times columnist ( but at his best in the Spectator) has died at 66. He leaves a wife and three children.
Sun editors were often concerned his views would lead to problems with advertisers so effectively barred him from writing about Islam or trans. Quite wrong.
When Emma Tucker was Editor of the Sunday Times she tried to have him sacked as a columnist because he was white and Right.
Really great credit to owner Rupert Murdoch who blocked the sacking with Liddle ( he joined in 2005) lasting a lot longer than Tucker who was moved to the Wall Street Journal.
Loved the statement from his children who said; “ He raised us much as you might imagine, to be inquisitive, brave and always humorous.”
