Hey @delta, your baggage handling process marked (and ripped) up my bag and the employees at MKE say this is normal “wear and tear”. I say I should get to at least file a claim for damage.

@eric_mdm74@niais@stephtdouglas@erinleeryan I have some pretty epic stories about the 2.4m including Bob disengaging the Dec motors to manually back out the telescope from the hard limit after an IC failed and (separately) a skunk in the anteroom to the dome. 😵💫
Read the 349 pages of emails and...so incredibly disappointed in the lack of clarity and leadership about the impact of a name tied to so many careers and discoveries. Not surprised, but incredibly dismayed.
There's a lot of coverage already of the ridiculous hit piece that was written about Emily Oster.
