Good news! Reform won 7 council by-elections last night.
Take the St Helens Town Centre Ward, last up in 2022. We went from 0% to 39%, smashing Labour. The Conservatives got 3.6%. They are no longer a national party.
In Wilnecote Ward in Tamworth, we thrashed the Conservatives. Our vote was up +33%, theirs down -20%.
We also won big in Cambridgeshire, Rhyl South, Nuneaton and Staffordshire.
Across the country, people get it. Britain is broken. Only Reform will fix it!
If Bridget Phillipson doesn’t like being called a spiteful class warrior she should stop behaving like one. She thinks she can ruin people’s lives and avoid criticism because she was born on a council estate. Plenty of people born on council estates turn out much better than her.
The BBC says it wants to orientate its News Channel to international rather than British audiences because it can generate revenues internationally. Fair enough. But why should British licence payers pay for it?
Look at them all, grinning as they parachute in a bloke who has tried and failed to be Labour leader twice, who won a manufactured by-election and will now become PM unopposed so he can avoid all scrutiny of what he actually stands for. Risible.
From a very credible Labour source:
- Wes Streeting promised the Chancellorship for not running.
- Capital gains raised to match income tax. Possible exit tax.
- Economic focus: devolution, plus state ownership of cost-of-living essentials (energy, water, transport).
- Nothing on AI or tech, bar higher capital gains and an EIS/SEIS-style relief for backing British businesses. (Spoiler: startups now incorporate in Delaware and raise on SAFEs. I’ve done 60+ angel investments; only two were eligible.)
Andy and Wes don’t seem to grasp that tech has been the core engine of growth for 20 years, and AI will only accelerate that.
So why would any founder build here? How does the UK compete with the US and China on AI? Where does growth actually come from?
The world economy is changing fast, and we need to be ready to thrive in it, not just survive.
I really hope this admin appoints some figures who actually get what’s happening. Losing business support early, from a disastrous first budget, was the beginning of the end for Starmer.
Team Burnham pressed Keir Starmer to stay on over the summer to give their man time to prepare for power. Starmer rebuffed them in no uncertain manner: you’re forcing me out because you think I’m useless. So why should I wait til September at your convenience?
As I said on @TimesRadio yesterday, this is not an amicable handover.
Starmer was very badly prepared for power in July 2024. Burnham is considerably less well-prepared.
Burnham will discover within weeks that a cheeky smile, a northern accent, and the informality of the blokey polo neck are not, in themselves, qualifications for high office.
The cultivated image of the cheeky chappy can carry a politician only so far before substance, competence, and judgement are required.
He is in deep water. He just doesn’t know it yet.
🚨 EXPOSED: THE BRUTAL COST OF A BURNHAM PREMIERSHIP.
Keir Starmer is barely out of the door, and the Labour establishment is already preparing to raid your bank account.
Andy Burnham’s economic blueprint has leaked, and it is a complete disaster for the British middle class.
He is backing a scheme to scrap council tax and replace it with a new annual property tax of 0.48% of your home's value. 🤡
If you live in an average £553,000 house, you will be forced to pay £2,654 every single year just for the privilege of living in your own home.
But the Labour tax grab gets even worse. 💷
Burnham wants to hike the top rate of income tax to 50p.
His economic advisers are also pushing to scrap capital gains tax and tax your investments and dividends at full income tax rates.
He is even proposing a flat 10% care levy on all inheritance, dragging millions of ordinary families into a death tax on their loved ones' estates from pound one.
They are coming for everything you have built.
And look at how quickly they will lie to your face just to get your vote.
To win the Makerfield by-election last week, Burnham promised WASPI women he would "stick by" them and deliver billions in pension compensation.
The second the vote was over, his team immediately backflipped and admitted they have zero plans to pay it. 🤡
They ruled out cash payouts entirely, offering them taxpayer-funded bus passes instead.
They treat the public like absolute fools while using your hard-earned wages to fund their political ambitions.
The global financial markets are already panicking.
The yield on 10-year gilts spiked the second Starmer resigned because Burnham openly declared he wants to stop being in hock to the bond markets, which is code for massive, reckless state borrowing.
This will drive UK mortgage rates and business loans through the roof, leaving everyday families to pay the price.
Labour has simply changed the face in Downing Street, but the plan to bleed the working class dry remains exactly the same.
RT to warn the country and expose this massive Labour tax grab! 🔁🇬🇧🔥
🚨 HEARTBREAKING & INFURIATING CALL FROM LONDON 🚨
A terrified British woman breaks down in tears on TalkTV, exposing the nightmare ordinary people are living through:
"WE'RE NOT RACIST — WE'RE PETRIFIED!"
"What are these politicians doing to us? They're putting EVERYONE in danger!"
"I don't leave the house without a man anymore."
- Her local shop: 3 stabbings and 1 murder
- Her friend: murdered last year
- A girl she knows: murdered in the park
- Her cousin: murdered
- Now begging her son to flee the country
"OUR FRIENDS. OUR FAMILY ARE DYING."
This is what open borders, soft policies, and zero enforcement get you. Time to wake up and put citizens first — before it's too late. 🇬🇧
(Share if you want real leaders who secure borders and restore safety.)
Following the horrific stabbing of a 17-year-old girl in Brierfield.
Alex Phillips has a powerful message for Keir Starmer.
Well said.
@ThatAlexWoman@talktv
Well here is a surprise - NOT.
Rayners wretched Employment Rights Act has already caused a 55% rise in Employment Tribunal claims which is threatening to send the Tribunal system into meltdown.
Labour simply DON'T HAVE A CLUE.
This incompetent fool gives billions to foreign migrants, lazy Britons & billions to net zero & billions on Foreign Aid & billions on Ukraine.
Removes the 2 child benefit cap, but refuses to keep us safe.
Anyone voting for this shower is on a death wish.
🚨BREAKING: Keir Starmer has just said it is his duty to remain as prime minister 🇬🇧
No Keir, the people have demanded you resign on multiple occasions and you have ignored us.
That’s not enacting the will of the people, that’s working against them.
Perhaps the grimmest part of John Healey’s brutal resignation letter is that defence spending, projected to be 2.6% GDP by 2027, will only reach 2.68% in 2030. A pathetic 0.08% increase over three years after all that Starmer rhetoric about the dangerous times we live in and how UK would lead the way stepping up to the crease. A real leader would have told Reeves to cough up the dosh and ordered Miliband to hand over a big chunk of his net zero budget. But he’s probably too weak to do either.
Suicidal empathy is the Labour government splurging £10 billion a year on welfare for foreigners, £13 billion a year on foreign aid, and £15 billion in the coming years on hotels & HMOs for illegals and then saying “sorry no money for our own national defence” 🤡
Rachel Reeves can't cut welfare.
Welfare claimants are Labour's last remaining voter base.
So the benefits bill keeps rising while everything else gets squeezed including defence spending.
Britain deserves better.
Starmer has committed up to £21.8 billion for Ukraine.
He is spending more defending them than the UK.
Look where he is throwing our money.
Chagos £35bn
Ukraine £21.8bn
Green Energy £25bn per year!
EU £1bn p.a to access the single market we voted to leave.
