Groundbreaking bill has just passed here in California! @JFedLA is so proud of our work to support Jewish students as we seek to counter antisemitism in K-12 schools. Thank you @RickChavezZbur and @AsmDawnAddis along with our @CAJewishCaucus and @JPACcalifornia for this huge win!
🎉#AB715 Passes the Legislature 🎉
Late Friday night, our landmark bill to counter antisemitism in K-12 schools passed both the Senate and Assembly – and now heads to Governor Newsom’s desk! Thanks to the tens of thousands who called, wrote, and lobbied lawmakers, and the hundreds who traveled to Sacramento this week to testify in support. We are immensely grateful to Asm. Rick Zbur, Asm. Dawn Addis, and the entire Jewish Caucus for being the greatest champions.
It’s a historic statement from California’s elected leaders. Help us urge Governor Newsom sign it into law: https://t.co/sm0ATqzoKU
What an honor it was to bring this incredible @JFedLA Los Angeles legislative delegation to meet with the President and First Lady of Israel, to learn more about leadership in this challenging moment.
President @Isaac_Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog today met with a delegation of prominent elected officials from local governments across California, led by @JFedLA: “In Israel, we are proud of our strong civil society, and we are proud of our strong democracy. I am pleased you are here - many for the first time - to witness for yourselves this amazing country and its courageous people. At the very top of our agenda and embedded in the hearts of all Israelis is the need to bring all our hostages home.”
Following Israel’s Operation Rising Lion, its ripple effects are felt here in LA — home to the largest Iranian & Israeli diasporas. Join us for a vital webinar on the significance of this war, the security considerations, and mental health best practices.

Following the bombings in Iran, Los Angeles is closely monitoring for any threats to public safety.
There are no known credible threats at this time and out of an abundance of caution, LAPD is stepping up patrols near places of worship, community gathering spaces and other sensitive sites.
We will remain vigilant in protecting our communities.
With honor and respect, @JFedLA marks Juneteenth, as we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States and celebrate black freedom, resilience, & joy. Together, we must continue to pursue justice, stand up to racism, and build a more inclusive future.
“Acts of political violence are an assault on democracy itself. They aim to instill fear, silence public servants, and unravel the civic fabric that holds us together. We cannot allow them to succeed.” May their memories be a blessing.

Our hearts are with the victims of this weekend's attack in Boulder, Colorado.
Antisemitism is a poison. We must root it out wherever it spreads and build a future where no one lives in fear because of who they are.
I am heartbroken and outraged by today’s violent, antisemitic attack in Boulder.
This was an act of hate — an attack on people peacefully gathering to support hostages still held in Gaza. I am praying for the victims and their families.
Seeing the news out of Boulder is bone-chilling.
Another violent, targeted attack on the Jewish community. The second in a two-week period.
Keeping my prayers with the victims. We must resolve to drive antisemitism out of our society.
Today in Boulder, Colorado, people gathered to call for the release of innocent hostages being held by #Hamas. They were targeted in a horrific antisemitic terrorist attack.
Attempting to burn people alive simply because they seek the release of kidnap victims is disturbingly consistent with the ideology of Hamas and its supporters, even within the U.S.
What happened in Boulder, Colorado today — an especially brutal targeting of elders — is an atrocious affront to the very fabric of our society and our beliefs here in Los Angeles.
This was the second terrorist attack against Jews in two weeks — I will be calling an emergency meeting at City Hall regarding safety and security here in Los Angeles immediately after Shavuot.
LAPD is conducting extra patrols at houses of worship and community centers throughout LA. Anti-Semitism will not be tolerated in this city.
I could imagine my family participating at this very public gathering to advocate for the release of the hostages. This violent antisemitic attack sends ripple effects across the nation which shake us to our core. #Boulder https://t.co/YDcyruxP0x
Horrified to learn of yet another attack on the Jewish community-- this time as participants peacefully raised awareness for the hostages in Gaza. This antisemitic attack is part of a terrifying rise in violence targeting Jews & must not be normalized. https://t.co/AGtfgRF3zm
As the American Jewish community continues to reel from the horrific antisemitic murders in Washington, D.C., it is unfathomable that the Jewish community is facing another terror attack here in Boulder, on the eve of the holiday of Shavuot no less. Several individuals were brutally attacked while peacefully marching to draw attention to the plight of the hostages who have been held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza for 604 days. I condemn this vicious act of terrorism, and pray for the recovery of the victims.
