Men at a 'Women In AI' event?
Is it generally okay/desirable to show up to events promoting underserved groups in a wider community when you're not part of that group yourself? Does a man at a Women in AI event intrude a safe space or express support (as a passive attendee)?
@MortenElsoe Du forudsætter, at skribenten så rent faktisk mener en relativ stigning, og ikke en absolut én. Den antagelse er nok rigtig de fleste gange, men nok ikke altid?
@christianevejlo Jeg vil absolut anbefale bogen The Most Human Human. Meget velskrevet, den behandler netop det spørgsmål hvad det er der gør os menneskelig og adskiller os fra maskinerne. Tager afsæt i den omvendte Turing Test
@terrible_coder Ah yeah sorry, was a bit unclear maybe. I meant no need for me to train a model :) Without being an expert in word alignment or MT, I thought this must be doable with xling embeddings or multilingual LMs for example (which is what simalign does)
NLP hivemind: is there any good off-the-shelf word alignment tool? I want to know which words in an input sentence are translated to which words in the output. #nlproc#machinetranslation
@DKalpakchi Yeps been thinking that, but I'm thinking of something even more off-the-shelf ;) Came across simalign which is pretty neat: https://t.co/8SfPCTg0KI
@LChoshen@mariusmosbach Not exactly what you asked for, but maybe still helpful> https://t.co/yDUVVsnHxv Reminds you after a set time, so you can at least check back regularly.
@Elle_Nav_Bruno Hi Elle, @herocph is a female co-founded and female-CEO'ed startup that makes difficult text accessible to all readers using AI. It basically rewrites difficult text into easier language, anywhere on the web. Currently raising funds, let me know if you want to discuss. 🙂
