Our stories. Our heritage. Our impact.
I’ve seen firsthand the power of our community and the generations of Latinos who have helped shape this country.
The National Museum of the American Latino will make sure those stories are preserved, celebrated, and shared for generations to come.
Our history is American history, and it deserves a home at the Smithsonian.

It was an honor to join the Dominican community in Hackensack, New Jersey, for the raising of the Dominican flag. 🇩🇴
I was proud to receive a Certificate of Recognition celebrating my commitment to serving and uplifting our Dominican community. Thank you to everyone who came together to celebrate our heritage, culture, and contributions.
¡Que viva la República Dominicana! 🇩🇴

We are grateful to the swift actions of law enforcement in response to today’s attack at 26 Federal Plaza and are grateful no injuries were reported. We condemn targeted acts of violence and terror and will hold those responsible accountable.
Far too many families have become victims of these rogue agents carrying out Donald Trump’s policies, killing innocent men and women in front of our very eyes.
As @HispanicCaucus Chair, I will be leading a field hearing next week to investigate the killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. It is our resolve to hold ICE accountable for its abuse of power and injustices.
ICE has done it again. Today, I joined my colleagues to demand accountability for the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and condemn the continued abuse of power by ICE.
We cannot allow these senseless killings to become the norm. Every person deserves due process, every family deserves the truth, and those responsible must be held accountable.
No one should have to choose between paying their bills and providing for their family.
In 2025, 21,062 individuals and families in New York filed for bankruptcy—a reminder that too many people are struggling with rising costs and economic uncertainty. We must invest in policies that strengthen working families and build an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy.
Families across New York are paying more for the essentials they rely on every day. Under the Trump administration, the cost of basic living expenses has increased by $3,029, putting an even greater strain on working families, seniors, and small businesses.
New Yorkers deserve an economy that lowers costs—not one that makes it harder to make ends meet.
The Constitution won today. Birthright citizenship is not up for debate. The Tri-Caucus stands united against Trump’s attempts to rewrite who belongs in America. 🇺🇸
Today’s ruling is a reminder that no president is above the Constitution.
Our hearts embrace the families of the more than 200 fatalities and all who have been impacted by the devastating loss and tragedy following Venezuela’s catastrophic earthquake.
As the global community comes together to support Venezuela during this critical time, the U.S. must provide aid and relief to support recovery and humanitarian efforts to the region.
