Sure, the design should take inspiration from the comics, but depending on the superhero and the tone of the movie or show, something more detailed, like armor with leather elements, looks way cooler than a direct replica of the comic book design

Unpopular opinion: I’m not really a fan of costumes like that in movies and tv shows. It’s hard to explain, but I feel like they look a bit childish. A superhero doesn’t really command respect when he’s wearing something that looks like pajamas or a kids’ costume. +
